AMU Faculty Appointed as Editorial Board Member of Prestigious International Journal

Aligarh : Dr. Jai Prakash, faculty member of the Department of Physics at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been appointed as an editorial board member of the prestigious International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy, and Materials, published by Springer. This two-year appointment will take effect in March 2025.
The International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy, and Materials is a highly regarded peer-reviewed journal with an impressive impact factor of 5.600. It is globally recognised for its focus on mining, mineral processing, physical metallurgy, process metallurgy, and materials science and processing.
As an editorial board member, Dr. Prakash will contribute to the journal by reviewing manuscripts as an invited peer reviewer, publicising the journal at conferences and meetings, and actively participating in editorial board meetings and academic activities sponsored by the journal.
Dr. Prakash has published over 80 research papers in internationally reputed journals, delivered numerous invited lectures, and secured three patents related to memory devices and biosensors based on liquid crystals. His scholarly work has garnered more than 3,000 citations (Scopus) and earned him an h-index of 26.
Dr. Prakash’s significant contributions to Liquid Crystal Physics have earned him numerous accolades, including the INSPIRE Faculty Award, the IP Technology Award from CSIR (2015),
