AIBE 18: Bar Council of India Postponed Registration Dates Again

The Bar Council of India has once again modified the dates of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). AIBE XVIII was previously scheduled for December 3, 2023, but due to a clash in dates with CLAT PG exams and MP State Judicial P.T., the decision to reschedule the exam was taken into consideration.

The revised date for AIBE XVIII is December 10, 2023, whereas the last date for registration is on November 16.

The official notice stated, “Recognising the significance of All India Bar Exam, CLAT PG, and MO State Judicial P.T., the BCI is committed to providing candidates with the fair opportunity to excel in these examinations”. BCI also received multiple correspondence from concerned candidates expressing the challenges this overlap presents.

Revised Dates for AIBE 18

Formerly, the AIBE 18 registration 2024 date was November 10, but now candidates can fill out the application form till November 16, 2023. The last date for fee payment is rescheduled on November 17 and the last date for correction in the registration form is November 19, 2023.

Also, the AIBE 18 exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.

Candidates should also remember that from this year onwards, BCI has increased the AIBE cutoff from 40% to 45% for General and OBC category students. For SC/ST and specially-abled students, the cutoff is 40%.
