Eligibility Criteria
1. Lecturer (Technical) in the Government Polytechnics of Assam:-
Education Qualification:
- Level 9A: B.E./B.Tech./B.S. (4-year degree) in relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent.
- Level 10: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in relevant disciplines with First Class in either of the two.
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 38 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen)
Salary:
- Level 9A: Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500 + allowances
- Level 10: Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 + allowances
2. Lecturer (Non-Technical) in the Government Polytechnics of Assam:-
Educational Qualification:
- Level 9A: Master’s degree in the relevant subject with First Class or equivalent.
- Level 10: Master’s degree with First Class and cleared NET/SLET/SET or similar test.
Age Limit: Minimum Age: 21 years (as of January 1, 2024)
Maximum Age:
- General: 38 years
- SC/ST: 43 years
- OBC/MOBC: 41 years
- PwBD: 48 years
- Ex-servicemen: 50 years (general), 53 years (OBC/MOBC), 55 years (SC/ST)
Salary:
- Level 9A: Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500 + allowances
- Level 10: Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 + allowances
3. Senior Instructor in the Government Engineering Colleges & Polytechnics of Assam:
Qualification: 3-year Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering, Technology, Textile, or Architecture with First Class or 60% marks from an AICTE-recognized institute.
Age Limit:
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 40 years (as of 01-01-2024)
Salary:
- Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 60,500
- Grade Pay: Rs. 8,700 plus other allowances as per rules.
4. Librarian in the Government Engineering Colleges:
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or equivalent with at least First Class or equivalent.
- Knowledge of computerization of library.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years as on 01-01-2024.
Salary: Pay Scale: Level-10, Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 plus other allowances as per rules.
5. Lecturer (Technical) in PCPS Girls’ Polytechnic, Bamunimaidam, Guwahati-21:
Education Qualification:
- Level 9A: B. Arch. or a 4-year degree in an allied field with First Class or equivalent.
- Level 10: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in relevant disciplines with First Class in either of the two.
Age Limit:
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 38 years (as of 01.01.2024)
Salary:
- Level 9A: Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500 + allowances
- Level 10: Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 + allowances
Selection Process for AESRB Recruitment 2025
The recruitment will be conducted in two stages:
- OMR-MCQ Based Written Examination (75 marks): This will consist of 75 questions, each worth 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Teaching Proficiency Test (TPT) (25 marks): Shortlisted candidates from the written exam will be called for this test, which will assess their teaching skills.
