UPESMET 2022: Registrations, Syllabus, Preparation, Dates

UPESMET 2022(UPES Management Entrance Test) is an aptitude test conducted in online mode by the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, better known as UPES MET2022, for candidates seeking admission to the MBA programmes at UPES, Dehradun. The UPES MET 2022 is conducted multiple times a year. UPESMET 2022 exam is being conducted from January 28 to January 30 and the registration for the same closed on January 24, 2022. The exam is taking place in online mode. UPESMET 2022 selection process will be conducted from February 01 to February 04. The mode of the UPESMET2022 application form is also online. Aspirants were able to fill the online UPES MET 2022 application form from the UPESMET 2022 website, upes.ac.in. The application fee of  Rs. 1350 had to be paid through credit/debit cards or net banking options.  Apart from the in-house exam MBA-UPESMET2022, the selection can be done through other national-level management entrance exam scores as well. The details are as follows

• Students having a minimum MAT / CMAT score of 70 Percentile will be exempted from UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for Group Discussion and Interview if qualified.
• Valid 50 percentile and the above score of CAT 2021/ XAT 2022
• A score of a minimum of 400 or above for GMAT, a score of 120 and above in NMAT 2021 scores will also be accepted.

Note: 30 percent of the seats are filled through the national-level entrance tests. In case such seats are vacant, then UPESMET 2022 will fill those seats through UPESMET2022.

UPESMET Eligibility Criteria

Know the eligibility criteria for UPSEMET 2022 below

• Candidates should be graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks from a recognised University
• Candidates must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate
• Candidates in their final year of qualifying exam are also eligible for UPESMET provided they can present the passing certificate by the time of admissions
• Candidates who have MAT, CMAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC and GMAT scores of either the same or previous year, are exempted from taking the UPESMET exam

Non-Examination Pathway for PG admission

Admission is offered based on national-level management entrance exams – CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. Up to 50 per cent of the seats are filled through the non-examination pathway category students. The minimum percentile required for entry to the non-exam pathway has been listed below

How to fill UPES Application Form 2022

Step 1: UPESMET 2022 registration

• Click on the ‘Apply Now' button on the official website or click on the link provided- https://admission.upes.ac.in/apply
• The login page appears on the screen
• New applicants can register with UPES by clicking on the ‘Register Now with UPES’ button
• Enter personal details, date of birth, nationality, course, mode of application, etc.
• Verify their mobile number by clicking the ‘Send OTP’ button
• After verification, proceed towards filling in their academic details by clicking ‘Next Button’

Step 2: Fee payment

• Select the mode of payment between Paytm and PayU
• The application fee can be paid through the online payment gateway

Step 3: Filling the academic details

• On this page, enter details of Class 10 and Class 12 and graduation like the year of passing and percentage of marks obtained
• Click on the ‘Next’ button after entering all details
• You will be redirected to the fee payment page

Step 4: Submit UPES application form 2022

• To complete the UPESMET application form 2022, fill in other mandatory details and submit
• After completion of the above step, you will receive the application number and password.
• The same will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number

Ans. UPES exam is conducted multiple times in a year. Candidates can appear in any cycle according to their preference and the admission cycle they wish to seek admission in.

Ans. Earlier UPES would conduct the UPESMET exam at several exam centres but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the institute has changed the exam mode to a centrally-proctored test. The candidates can now take UPESMET from home.

Ans. There are no negative marks for wrong answers in the UPESMET exam. For a wrong answer in any section of the UPESMET question paper, no marks will be deducted.
