In 1962, the central government established the IHM Delhi (also known as IHM Pusa) as a premier facility in India for hotel management education. Hotel Management Catering & Nutrition Pusa is an autonomous registered society under the purview of the Tourism Government of India, and its courses are taught at the National Council for Hotel Management Catering and Technology in Noida, and at Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi.

Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration

A constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal, the Welcomegroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) was founded in 1986 as a partnership between the TMA Pai Foundation and the Hotels Division of ITC Ltd as a unit of the Welcomegroup Foundation. the hotel management college also offers training and development programs that are accredited by the International Hotel Association (IHA) in Paris. Students who pass their 10+2 with either a 45% or better overall average in the aggregate are eligible to apply for admission at WGSHA, according to its official website. IHM Mumbai 

The IHM Mumbai was founded by the All India Women’s Central Food Council under the direction of Smt Lilavati Munshi in 1954.

In 1963, IHM Chennai
