Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition, PUSA New Delhi

In 1962, the central government established the IHM Delhi (also known as IHM Pusa) as a premier facility in India for hotel management education. A total of 900 students, from throughout the country, receive education and training at the institute. Hotel Management Catering & Nutrition Pusa is an autonomous registered society under the purview of the Tourism Government of India, and its courses are taught at the National Council for Hotel Management Catering and Technology in Noida, and at Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi.

Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration

A constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal, the Welcomegroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) was founded in 1986 as a partnership between the TMA Pai Foundation and the Hotels Division of ITC Ltd as a unit of the Welcomegroup Foundation. the hotel management college also offers training and development programs that are accredited by the International Hotel Association (IHA) in Paris. Students who pass their 10+2 with either a 45% or better overall average in the aggregate are eligible to apply for admission at WGSHA, according to its official website. Admissions are made based on Group discussions and interviews for candidates meeting eligibility requirements.

IHM Mumbai 

The IHM Mumbai was founded by the All India Women’s Central Food Council under the direction of Smt Lilavati Munshi in 1954.

Applicants must have passed their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination with English as a (compulsory) subject.

Students can earn bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, and certificates in hotel management through the institute. There is a B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, a Diploma in Food Production, an Advanced Cookery Certificate, and an Advanced Bakery Certificate.

IHM Hyderabad

The Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh jointly established IHM Hyderabad in 1972 as a Food Craft Institute. The college was upgraded into the Institute of Hotel Management in 1984 after introducing a three-year diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is currently overseeing the institute.

Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology

Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society established the Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology in 1999. By providing skilled managers and technical personnel for the hotel industry, BCIHMCT New Delhi has created a niche for itself. By NAAC, an autonomous entity under UGC, the institute has been accredited with Grade A as a quality institution.

IHM Chennai

In 1963, IHM Chennai   

was jointly established by the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu. Students can earn a BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and a MSc in Hotel Administration, along with a diploma or craft course lasting 18 months.

IHM Lucknow

IHM Lucknow was established in 1969 as a culinary institute and upgraded to an Institute of Hotel Management in 1980. It was at this point that three-year diploma courses in hospitality education were permitted.

The campus of IHM Lucknow covers an area of four acres. College hostel offers 120 seats for boys and 60 seats for girls. Providing quality education and training in the hospitality and tourism industry is the institute’s mission.

IHM Kolkata

The IHM Kolkata was founded in 1963 and is affiliated with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. In addition to a well-stocked library with over 10,000 books, six well-equipped kitchens, two bakery labs, and two restaurants, the institute also offer a housekeeping lab, a computer lab, and three mock guest rooms for students to practice on. Formerly affiliated with the State Council for Engineering & Technical Education. The Institute subsequently became affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology in New Delhi.

Christ University

Since 1991, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has offered a professional BHM course designed to help students prepare for careers in the hospitality industry. Students enrolled in the four-year professional degree programme will gain both skills in the operational area of a hotel and in research and management as a whole. 

A separate Department of Hotel Management at Christ University began its operations in 1991. In order to develop a career in tourism and hospitality, the candidates must understand key concepts. Army Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology

Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (AIHMCT) was established in 1996 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is affiliated with Bangalore University.

A campus of 12 acres is located at the college. Aspirants seeking admission to the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) course can apply to the Army Institute of Hotel Management each year, where 60 students are enrolled yearly.
