National Eligibility and Admission Test for Undergraduates [NEET-UG] is no longer age-restricted. National Medical Commission (NMC) published a circular on Wednesday announcing the decision. Pulkesh Kumar, Secretary, NMC, has requested that the National Testing Agency (NTA) remove the maximum age criteria from the NEET-UG information bulletin. In a letter on Wednesday, the National Medical Council, which regulates medical education and medical professionals in India, said: "At the 4th meeting of the National Medical Council, held on October 21, 2021, it was decided that there should be no upper age limit for appearing in the NEET-UG examination." This information bulletin may be updated accordingly. In addition, the process for officially notifying the Graduate Medical Education 1997 Regulations has been initiated. Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted: "This decision will be of immense benefit to aspiring doctors and will strengthen medical education in the country.". Candidates for the general category had to be 25 years of age and candidates for the reserved category had to be 30 years old.
