Agribusiness Management: Why is it Important?

Agricultural business is more than just a way to earn a living and feed people. Science plays a crucial role in growing crops in the best manner possible so that the end results are beneficial. The importance of it is often overlooked. Here are some of the things it takes care of:

The process of assembling seeds, fermenting them, sourcing raw food products and supplying them with a minimal amount of wastage all fall under Agribusiness.

Manufacturing companies, chemical companies, logistics companies, and so on.

When infrastructure fails, the entire system crumbles and people cannot access the most basic necessity: FOOD.

About 20 to 30 per cent of the crop in India is lost due to spoilage, floods, pests, diseases, improper handling, and a lack of awareness about post-harvest technologies.

The agri-business industry has emerged as a crucial field in developing countries, such as India. Public, private, and cooperative organisations are seeking competent and well-trained professionals and agribusiness managers.
