NTA JEE Main Result 2022 – Normalization Process
Because the JEE Main test is administered in many sessions, the degree of difficulty changes, and officials employ the normalisation method to address this. The normalised JEE Main 202w results given by NTA show the percentage of candidates whose scores are equal to or lower than the highest-scoring contestant in that session. The formula for calculating NTA scores is as follows:
(100 × the number of candidates who appeared in the session with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate) / the total number of candidates who appeared in the session
Candidates should be aware that the normalised NTA score does not correspond to the percentage of marks received in the examination.
JEE Main Result 2022 – Percentile Calculation
The National Testing Agency computes the JEE Main for percentile purposes independently for each subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) as well as in the combined format using the normalisation method provided below.
Calculating JEE Main Percentile
|Total Percentile (T1P):||(100 x No. of candidates from the session with raw score equal to or less than T1 score) / Total No. of candidates appeared in the session|
|Mathematics Percentile (M1P)||(100 x No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than than M1 score in Mathematics)
/ Total No. of candidates appeared in the session
|Physics Percentile (P1P)||(100 x No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than P1 score in Physics) / Total No. of candidates appeared in the session|
|Chemistry Percentile (C1P):||(100 x No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than C1 score in Chemistry) / Total No. of candidates appeared in the session|
JEE Main Result 2022 – Inter-se merit and tie-breaking rule
When two or more applicants receive the identical NTA score in the JEE Mains 2022 result, this is known as a tie. As a result, in order to provide a unique All India rank, NTA employs tie-breaking procedures in the JEE Main 2022 results. Refer to the priority-ordered list of subject scores that are used to break a tie in the NTA JEE Main result 2022.
JEE Main Paper 1 Result- Method of resolving ties
- Mathematics NTA score
- Physics NTA score
- Chemistry NTA score
- Candidates with a lower percentage of unfavourable replies
JEE Main Paper 2 Result- Method of resolving ties
To break a tie amongst candidates with equivalent NTA JEE Mains 2022 scores in Paper 2B: B. Arch., NTA uses subject-wise precedence of results.
- Mathematics NTA score
- Aptitude Test NTA score
- Drawing Test NTA score
- Candidates with a lower negative to positive response ratio
Final JEE Main Result 2022
The NTA will hold the JEE Main 2022 exam in four sessions. As a result, JEE Main 2022 results will be released following each session. The final NTA JEE Main result will be announced after the May session:

Difference between JEE Main percentage and percentile score
Many students are perplexed by the JEE Main percentage and percentile and mistake them for the same thing, despite the fact that they are completely separate factors. The JEE Main percentage is determined by absolute marking, whereas the percentile is determined by relative marking.
