This preparation you can start during your graduation year. Aside from clear the fundamentals of each skills tested. There are some enabling skills needed – Grammar Vocabulary Writing discourse Rational approach Quantitative approach These verbal and quantitive skills can be enhances with the help of – regular reading news paper, magazines etc., you can improve writing after analyzing grammar and rules of writing. Ques9. How do I score more than 750 in the GMAT?

Ans. A GMAT score of 750 looks nearly as easy to reach as a 700. But the 750 is nearly in the top 1% of a population of well-educated and experienced people. Meanwhile 700 is just the 89th percentile. Assess whether to concentrate on quant or verbal. While the verbal score has greater weight, it takes longer to train – perhaps 4 weeks for the grammar alone. See several tutors. A good coach will be willing to earn your confidence hour by hour. Find the low-hanging fruit. The quantity of material is so large, that both a leisurely exploration and an exhaustive program are impractical or expensive or both.

Ques10. Will GMAT preparation be helpful in CAT preparation?

Ans. I agree with all who says , that preparing CAT can help you in preparing GMAT , but reverse is true too. CAT might be the toughest of all aptitude tests but It has been built upon basics only. So while you prepare for GMAT , you learn many concepts , logical reasoning and verbal which shall act as grounding pillars for CAT so it shall be easy to grow upon this. What you should always remember is that basics of all these exams (easy or tough) are always same, and working for any shall help you in others irrespective of the toughness order. Proof of what I am saying is results that I get in teaching, A student came for preparing Clerical examination of IBPS but she got selected for many MBA programs by securing 85 percentile in CAT. A student who joined us for preparing CAT , but eventually join SBI as PO (in general category) without focusing over SBI at all. Similarly I can quote numerous example , where a student prepare for a easier exam and finally converts the tougher one. So If you have prepared for GMAT, definitely you are ahead in CAT, and with little extra effort you shall score in CAT too.
