According to data provided by the SWAYAM board, credit transfers for SWAYAM courses have benefited about 2 lakh students from the previous two academic years. Massive open online courses (MOOCs) that are ready to be made available for the January semester of 2023 are listed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). MOOCs are offered through the SWAYAM portal (swayam.gov.in).
The courses are provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTELY), and Indira Gandhi Open National University (IGNOU).
The MOOCs, which are a component of India’s Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and seek to reestablish India as a significant tourist and cultural destination for Buddhists, cover Buddhist history, Abhidhamma (Pali), Buddhist philosophy, and an additional course on civic engagement and social responsibility.
