According to the Public Announcement dated: 9 February 2023, the National Testing Administration has begun the process of inviting online application forms for the Common University Entrance Exam [CUET (UG) – 2023].

For admission to undergraduate programmes at Central Universities under the Ministry of Education, as well as other participating Universities, Institutes, Organizations, and Autonomous Colleges under the Ministry of Education and UGC, CUET (UG) – 2023 is being held. Also, it should be noted that the university, organisation, or institution may have separate admissions policies for foreign candidates, NRI applicants, and OCI applicants. These applicants must also review the university/institution/website organization to learn more about their policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences, etc.

Candidates must choose their nationality from the dropdown menu in the CUET (UG) 2023 online application form, which is either Indian, OCI, NRI, or Foreign. According to information provided on the CUET website, CUET (UG) – 2023 will also be held in 24 cities outside of India in order to assist Foreign, OCl, and NRI Applicants.

Chairman of the UGC, Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, said: “For CUET (UG) – 2023, foreign applicants, NRIs, and OCI candidates may also apply. They may also show up in any of the aforementioned places outside of India. Nonetheless, it is recommended that all foreign applicants, NRIs, and OCIs visit the website of the university, institution, or organisation where admission is sought, review their pertinent policies, and follow their instructions. Additionally, UGC has notified all universities via “HEIs may adopt a transparent admissions process for admitting international students in accordance with Guidelines for Admission and Supernumerary Seats of International Students in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes in Higher Educational Institutions in India, dated 30 September 2022. In these situations, it is not necessary to employ CUET scores. In all undergraduate and graduate degrees, there are 25% extra seats available for foreign students.

Each faculty member in the PhD programme may enrol up to an additional two students in addition to the UGC-mandated maximum. Apart from admissions to the School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), and Foreign Nationals, all undergraduate programmes at the University of Delhi will base admissions on the CUET (UG) – 2023 scores.

If candidates have any additional questions, they should call 011- 40759000 or 011- 66227700 or email cuet-ug@nta.ac.in. For the most recent information about the exam, candidates are also encouraged to visit the NTA websites nta.ac.in and cuet.samarth.ac.in.
