Out of 400 students who took part in the screening examinations in Trichy and Tirunelveli districts, 49 were chosen for the program.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy has begun offline training for students from government schools in order for them to pass the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and gain admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other prestigious institutes.

According to The Hindu, the training offered by IGNITTE – The Teaching Club of NIT Trichy under its amazing program is for Class 11 students from government schools. Students from Trichy and Tirunelveli districts will participate in the project this year. The students are chosen based on a qualifying test administered by IGNITTE. Out of 400 students who took part in the screening tests in the two districts, 23 from Trichy and 26 from Tirunelveli were chosen for the training.

IGNITTE, with its 49-member staff, will aid students in passing competitive tests. IGNITTE was founded in 2017 with the goal of providing free JEE coaching and quality education to kids in government institutions. NIT Trichy students have been recruited to train government school students in JEE preparation since 2020.

Offline lessons will be held on weekends.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the training sessions were previously delivered online. Offline classes will be held on weekends this time. Last weekend, Institute Director G Aghila and Dean (Students Welfare) N Kumaresan met with students about the training.
