More than 1600 Job Offers, IIT-Kharagpur’s First phase of Placement is Coming to an end

A milestone for all IITs, the season started with more than 500 pre-placement offers (PPO), which quickly increased to more than 1000 offers on the second day. The second week of January 2023 is when the placement session’s next phase is expected to begin. In the second phase, more core businesses are anticipated to provide placement and internship opportunities to the students.
In the second week of December, IIT-Kharagpur announced the completion of the first part of the 2021–22 placement session, which resulted in over 1,600 job offers and 900+ internship opportunities. The announcement on Saturday stated that the season had started with more than 500 pre-placement offers (PPO), which quickly increased to 1000+ bids on the second day, “a milestone across all IITs.” 48 offers were made, with CTCs ranging from 50 lakh to 2.64 crore, according to the institute.
According to the statement, overseas businesses made over 45 offers. Five international students were employed at the session this year as well.
In the first round, more than 300 businesses from a range of industries, including software, analytics, consultancy, core engineering firms, finance, and high-frequency trading, took part. Airbus, Accenture Japan, Da Vinci Derivatives, Excel, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Squarepoint Capital, N K Securities, Hindustan Unilever, and Tata Steel are just a few of the companies who recruited students at the just finished session.
The “excellent curriculum of IIT KGP and the technical skills of students,” according to A Rajakumar, chairman of the institute’s Career Development Center, were factors in the outstanding achievement.
