KSET 2023: Registration Closes Today at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in; Exam Scheduled for November 26

On September 30, 2023, the registration period for the KSET 2023 is scheduled to conclude, according to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Applying for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test may be done on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in. The deadline to submit KSET 2023 application fees is October 3, as per the timetable. The KSET test will be administered on November 26, 2023.

For the KSET 2024 exam, candidates must have at least 50% in Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, and IIIB in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognised by UGC New Delhi, while candidates belonging to Schedule Category (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PWD), Transgender, and OBCs must have 50% in Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, and IIIB in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination. Candidates who pass the KSET 2023 are required to apply for the position of Assistant Professor at the relevant Karnataka State Universities or Colleges (Government/Aided/Private).

Document Required for KSET Online Application 2023

  • Application form for KSET.Post office Challan Xerox copy.
  • To verify the candidate’s name, parent’s names, and date of birth, a 10th grade or SSLC marks card is required.
  • SC, ST, Cat-1, II A, II B, III A, and III B category certifications. (Only candidates from Karnataka)
  • PWD certifications (medical certificates indicating a handicap of at least 40%). Candidates who identify as Persons with Disabilities (PWD) should provide a copy of their District Civil Surgeon-issued medical certificate.
  • Candidates who identify as transgender must produce a District Magistrate-issued Transgender Certificate.
  • Masters Degree marks card for all semesters and years

Karnataka SET: Exam Pattern 2023

  • Offline (OMR based) is the exam mode for the Karnataka SET 2023.
  • There are no subjective questions or multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the Karnataka SET exam.
  • There will be two sessions for Papers I and II, respectively.
  • 50 mandatory objective-type questions with a point value of two make up Paper I. This essay is used to evaluate the candidate’s critical thinking skills, understanding, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
  • Paper II will have 100 obligatory objective-type questions for a total of 100 points, each depending on the subject the candidate has chosen.
