DELHI UNIVERSITY: New Session, The DU will begin using the NEP and the four-year undergraduate programme as of this academic year. The colleges have carried out fumigation, established anti-ragging committees, and done all other necessary measures to protect the safety of the newcomers.

As the new semester starts on Wednesday, the Delhi University is prepared to welcome the students accepted via the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The first semester of the academic year will begin on Wednesday, despite the fact that applications for 70,000 seats at various DU colleges are still being accepted. DELHI UNIVERSITY: New Session

Yogesh Singh, vice chancellor of the institution, said in a statement to PTI that preparations have been made to ensure that all facilities will be available for the students as soon as the new academic year begins.

Everything is prepared for the start of the first-year students’ classes. We used the CUET to conduct admissions this year, and we’re also putting the National Education Policy into practise. Students would have more flexibility under the new policy, Singh added.

On Tuesday, colleges were busy making final preparations to welcome the students. The colleges have carried out fumigation, established anti-ragging committees, and done all other necessary measures to protect the safety of the newcomers.

Manoj Khanna, the principal of Ramjas College, said that last-minute preparations are being made to welcome the first-year students. DELHI UNIVERSITY: New Session

The college has a total of 1,550 seats. All available seats have been filled, according to Khanna, and entry to the supernumerary seats is underway.

“The preparations have been made. We are prepared to receive the first group of applicants through the CUET. We are ecstatic, he declared.

This year, rather than using the grades from Class 12, the DU is accepting students based on their CUET scores. The university published its admission-cum-allocation policy, the CSAS, on September 12. Three steps comprise the admission process through the CSAS: application submission, programme selection and preference entry, and seat assignment and admission.

59,100 applicants received admission in the initial round of seat distribution. In the first round, 15,398 candidates have frozen their seats. The second round of seat distribution has begun. DELHI UNIVERSITY: New Session
