MAT 2022: Check Important Guidelines for CBT

The pattern and structure of MAT CBT is the same as PBT and IBT. Each candidate will be allotted a computer system on which they will have to take the test. Here are a few important points to remember while giving MAT CBT:

  • Candidates must enter the test lab and should go straight to their allotted seat
  • It is advised not touch the computer system until the instruction comes in
  • Candidates must listen carefully to the guidelines announced by the invigilator to avoid any confusion
  • Start the test only when the invigilator announces it.
  • In order to avoid cheating, candidates should not look at other candidates’ computer screens. It is possible that you will be disqualified
  • Before beginning the exam, carefully read the instructions.
  • The MAT is divided into five parts, each with 40 questions. There is no sectional time restriction, so you may complete the paper according to your schedule.
  • Don’t, however, spend time on any section. If you don’t know the answer, skip to the next question. You can return to that inquiry later.
  • Each right answer will be worth one mark, whereas each incorrect response will be worth 0.25 points. So, if you are unsure about the correctness of the response, disregard it.
  • The score from the Indian and Global Environment portion is not used to calculate the MAT percentile, therefore attempt it towards the end.
  • Candidates must not leave their seats until the exam is completed unless they are requested to.
  • Candidates will be given paper and pens for preliminary work. Before leaving, they must leave the paper and pen in the test lab.
  • Exit the test lab one at a time, as instructed by the invigilator and test center staff.
