Andhra Dead

Mahesh Reddy, a friend of the student, has been charged with abetment of suicide under Indian Penal Code Section 306, and an investigation is still ongoing.

On Sunday, October 23, a first-year student at a private college in Badvel, Andhra Pradesh’s YSR Kadapa district, was discovered dead in strange circumstances. Three days after she vanished, her body was found. Allampathi Ramireddy and Ramadevi, residents of Maratipalle village in B Koduru Mandal, had a second child, Anusha (19), who is now 19 years old. She used to go home after classes at 3 p.m. Every day, but on October 20, she didn’t get home until far after dark. Her anxious parents reported her missing to the Badvel Town Police at 11 p.m. that day.

In a news statement on Sunday, Vamsidhar Goud, the deputy superintendent of police for Maidukuru Mandal, announced the start of an investigation into Anusha’s disappearance. The police launched their inquiry into this matter after learning that Anusha had taken a bus to Siddavatam on October 20. CCTV footage was carefully examined. On October 23, at around 9:00 am, the police in the area of Siddavatam at Jangalapalli Sand Reach discovered a body floating in the Penna River. Based on the personal identity information her parents provided, the police were able to confirm that the body was that of Anusha. The post-mortem was performed on the body at Kadapa RIMS hospital. It appears that she committed suicide, based on information provided by the medical personnel there.

However, Anusha’s parents do not think their daughter committed suicide, and they have accused Mahesh Reddy, a friend of hers, of being involved in her death. They said that she was slain in advance and that her body was then dumped into the river. Additionally, they claim that the inquiry was delayed by the police and college administration.

Mahesh was taken into custody on Monday, October 24, according to Siddavatam Sub Inspector Nagaprasad’s statement to TNM. They both knew one other and had phone conversations, he continued. Because of him, Anusha was under stress, which led her to take drastic action. Based on the results of the final post-mortem report, further action will be taken. The investigation is ongoing on a case that has been registered under Indian Penal Code Section 306 (abetment of suicide).
