IIM Ahmedabad is India’s best business school, having been ranked first in the NIRF-rated Top MBA Colleges in India two years in a row. The PGP (equivalent to MBA) is the most popular programme at IIM Ahmedabad, followed by the one-year MBA programme known as MBA PGPX. Aside from that, IIMA offers a PhD in Advanced Business Analytics and an ePGD in Advanced Business Analytics. The graduation score was removed from the final selection criteria in IIM Ahmedabad MBA Admission 2022.

IIM Ahmedabad recently completed its 2022 Placements drive, which was conducted in three clusters and resulted in all students being placed across 20 cohorts. 190 firms distributed a total of 220 MBA offers. Boston Consulting Group made the most offers (47), followed by Accenture (32). 46 students were placed in companies such as BCG, Nomura, Arthur D. Little, Ola, Accenture, Samsung Electronics, CK Birla GroupAmerican Express, Avendus, Bain & Co, Citi, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and others for the PGP FABM.

Along with the transition to awarding MBA degrees rather than diplomas, IIM Ahmedabad decided to increase its fee structure even further. On the occasion of Convocation 2019, IIM Ahmedabad also announced an increase in its two-year IIM Ahmedabad MBA fees to Rs.23 lakhs for the 2019-21 batch, up from Rs.22 lakhs previously.

For the third year in a row, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad has announced an increase in the fee for its PGDM programmes. The IIM Ahmedabad MBA fees were raised to Rs.22 lakhs in 2018, and then to Rs.23 lakhs beginning with the 2019-20 academic year.

IIM Ahmedabad placements 2022: What’s new? On February 14, 2022, IIM Ahmedabad Cluster 3 Placements 2022 ended. According to media reports, all 400 students who participated in Cluster 1, 2 and 3 placement drives in 2022 have been placed. In the Cluster 2 IIM Ahmedabad placements 2022, Tata Administrative Services (TAS) made the most offers. In addition, Emaar made the most offers from abroad. During IIM Ahmedabad Cluster 2 placements 2022, consumer goods and durables emerged as the leading recruiter sector. Cluster 2 consisted of six cohorts: Consumer Goods and Durables, Advertising and Media, Conglomerates, Retail, Pharma and Healthcare, and Consumer Services.

Coca-Cola, Asian Paints, ITC, Nestle, and Wipro were some of the top recruiters at IIM Ahmedabad in Cluster 2 placements 2022. The IIM Ahmedabad Cluster 3 placements for 2022 will be held on February 14, 2022.

On February 8, IIM Ahmedabad placements for Cluster 1 were concluded. Top recruiters during Cluster 1 IIM Ahmedabad placements 2022 were BCG (Boston Consulting Group) and Accenture. Scholarships offered by IIM Ahmedabad

  1. IIMA Special Need Based Scholarships: All the PGP students with the gross annual income below 15,00,000 can apply for this scholarship. The student is given to the student who is most in the need of the financial assistance based on the financial status of the family.
  2. SC/ST Scholarships: All PGP students belonging to the SC/ST category are given INR 150 per month up till 10 months. 
  3. IIMA Exit Scholarships: The Institute provides three kinds of Scholarships under this:
  • Students going for Entrepreneurship: Two students of each batch who have dropped out of placements and go for business setups are awarded INR 30,000 per month for at most 3 consecutive years.
  • Students joining Not for Profit organisation: An assistance of an amount ranging from INR 3 to 4 Lakhs for 3 consecutive years to at the most help them in repaying bank loans they took to pay IIMA fees is given to two students from each batch who join non profit organisation.
  • Students pursuing doctoral degrees: An assistance of an amount ranging from INR 3 to 4 Lakhs for 3 consecutive years who will pursue further studies. 

Scholarships offered by the Government of India

  1. SC/ST Scholarships: This is a merit-cum-means scholarship awarded to the meritorious students of SC/ST category whose family income is less than 4,50,000 p.a. 
  2. Minority Welfare Scholarship:This is a merit-cum-means scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs to the meritorious students of the minority category whose family income is less than 2,50,000 p.a. 
  3. Scholarships for Students with Disabilities: This is a merit-cum-means scholarship awarded to the DA/PWD meritorious students whose family income is less than 6,00,000 p.a. 

Scholarships offered by Alumni

  1. PGP Alumni Endowment Funds: The fund is used for the students who have applied for the Special Need-Based Scholarship and give consent to contribute to this endowment fund after passing out from the institute will be the assistance of around INR 2,00,000 to INR 3,00,000. 
  2. Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship: The batchmates of Mr. Peri Viswanath who died in a car accident gives a merit-cum-means based scholarship of INR 2,00,000 in the memory of their friend to a student of PGP. It is expected that the selected student would in the future contribute to this scholarship fund.

  4. Smt. J Nagamma Memorial Award: An award of INR 15,000 is awarded to a student on the basis of his academic performance in the first year.

  1. Aditya Birla Group Scholarships: The scholarship of INR 175,000 per student per year is awarded by the Aditya Birla Group to three meritorious students of PGP. 
  2. Dunia Scholarships for scholastic excellence: Two scholarships each to PGP-I and PGP-II of INR 1,00,000 are awarded by Dunia Finance LLC, Dubai, UAE. 
  3. OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship: An amount of INR 1,50,000 is awarded to the PGP students by OP Jindal Group on the basis of academic performance, online test and personal interviews. tests

General Conditions for the Award of all Scholarships/Financial Aid

  • Students will not be eligible for any scholarship or financial aid if he has violated any norms or is guilty of any misconduct. 
  • The Aid Committee may allot some scores or grades for the students for their eligibility for scholarships.
  • A student can accept more than one scholarship if there is no objection from sponsors.
  • A student is required to inform the Admission Office immediately if he receives any financial aid from outside the institute. 
  • The decision of the Financial Aid and Awards Committee will be final in case of any discrepancy or confusion

Candidates opting for SSH for the PGPX Batch of 2022-23 will have to pay INR 30 lakhs for the Programme Fee (Single Accommodation) and 32 Lakhs for candidates opting for MSH (Married Student Housing) plus the cost of the International Immersion Programme (IIP), excluding travel and stay expenses.

IIMA Special Need-Based Scholarships: All students admitted to the post-graduateprograms (PGP & PGP-FABM), whose gross annual family income is below Rs.15,00,000

in the preceding financial year can apply for the scholarship, in the absence of the submission of proof

of income from the family, of the amount of education loan received of past earnings, as well as the amount of educational loan taken of past earnings, etc.

  2. Minority Welfare Scholarship:This is a merit-cum-means scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs to the meritorious students of the minority category whose family income is less than 2,50,000 p.a.

  3. OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship: An amount of INR 1,50,000 is awarded to the PGP students by OP Jindal Group on the basis of academic performance, online test and personal interviews. tests
