Have you finished your bachelor's degree and want to pursue an MBA from a prominent B-school but aren't sure how to apply? Previously, admission to business schools was solely based on merit. Most B-Schools have updated their MBA admission requirements, which are based on an MBA entrance exam, in response to a rise in the number of candidates. The following are some approved MBA entrance exams in India.

MBA entrance exams provide access to highly rated MBA institutions in India such as IIMs, IIFT, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, XLRI, IITs, NMIMS, and TISS, among others. For admission to various institutes, there are national levels MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, and NMAT; state level MBA entrance exams such as MAH MBA CET, Karnataka PGCET, Tamil Nādu TANCET, Telangana TSICET; and institute level MBA entrance exams such as IIFT, TISSNET, MICAT, IBSAT.

The CAT or GMAT is typically the fundamental necessary prerequisite of B schools in India. AICTE has approved six nationwide exams in total. GMAT, CAT, MAT, ATMA, NMAT, XAT, and CMAT are all MBA admission tests in India.

While the CAT, MAT, XAT, IIFT, NMAT, SNAP, and other exams are only recognized by associated institutions and a small number of B-schools, the GMAT is accepted by a far wider number of B-schools across India. Taking the GMAT test allows a candidate to apply to business schools all around the world.
